ATES Silk Road Civilization Forum is a series of high-level academic lectures which organized every 3 months. Each forum will invite a renowned scientist with international influence in ATES related fields such as climate and environmental changes, environmental archaeology, archaeology,  history and culture, and so on. 

The No.4 of this Forum will invite Prof. Michio Yano from Kyoto Sangyo University, whose research interests are in Indian and Arabic History of Astronomy and Medicine, to talk about the transmission of science on the Silk Road by land and sea. The title of his talk is: Silk Road on Sea and Land in Transmission of Science, mainly introducing the Periplus Maris Erythraei, the Yavanajātaka and the astrology from India to China.
