Background

The expansion of agricultural society and Neolithic lifestyle from their motherland Southwest Asia to Central Asia and the sub-continent is a very important scientific issue in understanding the evolution of human societies from various aspects. The upcoming ATES Silk Road Forum (No.5) will share the research progress in the northern part of Iran and the Caspian Sea over the past five years, and explain what has happened in this region from the perspectives of archaeology, geoarchaeology and polar climatology. This talk will be valuable for scholars seeking to understand the diachronic and synchronic development of agricultural society in the northern part of Iran.
